My collection "Study in asymmetry" explores the possible balance between asymmetrical shapes. In this iteration of my study, I explore the possible combinations between asymmetrical shapes and primary colors. I draw a thread between the study of color in the work of the artist Piet Mondrian (Composition with large red, yellow, black, gray and blue plan, 1921) and my own exploration of the composition of abstract forms.
This small stained glass window brings a burst of color to a modern home decor; to be hung in front of a window or a lighted wall, the refraction of light through the colored and textured glass creates intriguing shadows to follow throughout the days and seasons.
The "Study in asymmetry no. 4" stained glass window measures 10cm wide and 18cm high. It is equipped with a suspension chain whose distance from the top of the frame is 19cm. The work is finished with an iron frame.
Each stained glass window is handcrafted in the Atelier Berenson in Aveyron, France. Slight differences may exist between the pieces.
Materials: glass, solder (lead, tin), chain, iron
Solder contains lead; handle stained glass with care and wash your hands after touching it. I do not recommend the use of this stained glass window as an outdoor decoration: risk of deterioration.
